Taking screenshots in SuSE

SuSE Enterprise Linux Server comes with this simple yet effective tool to assist you to take screenshots.  This is basically the same as using the “Print Screen” button and it can also be used to take a shot of the windows only, like using “Alt-Print Screen”.

The application has a camera as the icon and is called “Take Screenshot”.  It can be found through the Application browser under the System category.  The advantage of using this over the “Print Screen” button method is that you can specify the time lag before the system takes a screen shot.

It is also able to produce simple effects such as applying a drop shadow or a border.  This is only available if you select “Grab the current window” option.
